IBM XiV Host Attachment Hands-on Training for Windows, VMWare, Linux and AIX
The IBM XIV Storage System is a revolutionary, easily managed, high-end, open disk system, designed to meet today's ongoing herculean IT challenges. Its design represents the next generation of high-end SAN (Storage Area Networks) systems. The XIV system is a core component of IBM's Dynamic Infrastructure for a Smarter Planet and, within that, the Information Infrastructure offering, which helps today's businesses, including SMB, increase efficiency and reduce risk while addressing availability, security, compliance, and information retention. This day hands on workshop covering XIV host attachment to the major operating system platforms (Windows, VMWare, Linux, AIX) and some other advanced scenarios of your choice. You will work in teams of two with the focus on strongly hands on. The theory part preceding the hands on to each platform will enable them to complete the basic host attachment tasks autonomously on real Lab Hardware. There will also be time for you to explore with guidance from our Expert further features and scenarios.
After attending this course students will be familiar with he IBM XIV Storage System.
